Clayton County District Attorney Tasha Mosley says she will not bring the Eric Holmes shooting case before a second grand jury.
Family members and activists who sat in on the press conference gasped and cried.
Former Clayton County Police Officer Justin Stephens resigned after fatally shooting Holmes while investigating a car allegedly stolen from Rome that Holmes had driven to his job in Morrow.
Mosley’s office had brought seven charges against Stephens, but a Clayton County grand jury voted not to indict him.
