The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is asking the public for information related to the shooting last weekend of Forest Park Ward 2 City Councilman Dabouze Antoine.

Antoine was wounded in an apparent ambush at his home. The Clayton Crescent has filed Open Records Requests with Forest Park Police and Forest Park Fire and Emergency Services seeking more information about the shooting.

GBI spokesperson Nelly Miles released this statement:

The GBI is conducting an aggravated assault investigation after a request from the Forest Park Police Department.

Agents began to investigate criminal allegations made by a Forest Park Councilman on Saturday, July, 1, 2023.  The investigation is active and ongoing.

Anyone with information is encouraged to provide tips to the GBI.  Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-597-TIPS(8477), online at https://gbi.georgia.gov/submit-tips-online, or by downloading the See Something, Send Something mobile app.

Forest Park officials have declined official comment on the incident, saying the shooting was an “ongoing personal matter.”
