The old joke says, “Vote early and vote often.” If you live inside the city limits of incorporated Jonesboro, you’ll get to vote twice on Tuesday (in two different elections, that is).

If you live in the City of Jonesboro

Go to City Center (the big new City Hall next to Lee Street park), 1859 City Center Way, to vote for City of Jonesboro mayor and council. You’ll find the municipal polling place in the community room, right next to the clock tower and the wheelchair-accessible ramp.

Then, go to your regular county precinct to vote for sheriff, your Georgia House District 75 rep, and on the school SPLOST (Special Local Option Sales Tax) referendum.

One county precinct has changed: If you usually vote at Central Presbyterian Church (JB05), you’ll need to go to the Historic Courthouse instead to vote for sheriff, House District 75, and on whether to renew the school SPLOST.

If you live anywhere else in Clayton County

Go to your regular county precinct to vote for sheriff, your Georgia House District 75 rep, and on the school SPLOST referendum.

You can look up your polling place on your My Voter Page at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov or on the Clayton County Elections and Registration website at https://www.claytoncountyga.gov/government/elections-and-registration/precincts/. Here’s the current list of each Clayton County precinct. You must go to your local precinct to cast your ballot.

Has your precinct moved?
