Here’s what’s happening with your local government this week and, in some cases, through the New Year. Note that multiple cities are holding council meetings this evening at the same time or overlapping. The meeting before the Christmas holiday is usually a busy one, so you are strongly advised to show up in person and let your elected officials know what you think.

We always include the agenda packet when available. Don’t be put off by fat agenda packets (Jonesboro’s often runs over 200 pages). You can always print just the first page or two if you only want the agenda. We include it so you don’t have to go fishing for the supporting documents, like proposed ordinances and zoning applications.

6 p.m.: City of Riverdale City Council meeting

6:30 p.m.: Lake City City Council Work Session, followed by regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Tue 12/13

5:15 p.m. Board of Commissioners special called meeting, followed by 5:30 p.m. work session

Morrow City Council:
