Law enforcement agencies nationwide are celebrating National Night Out, a festive and educational annual community-building event where you can learn ways to keep yourself and your loved ones safer. Check out these events in the area:
- Hampton, 4 p.m.-7 p.m.: The Clayton County Police Department will bring food trucks, information booths, fun fo rthe kids, and music for everyone at Lovejoy Soccer Complex, 1935 McDonough Road.
- East Point, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.: The East Point Police Department is offering free school supplies and book bags to the first 300 kids (you have to wear a face mask to pick up supplies). Enjoy face painting, music, giveaways, safety information, and kids’ activities at 2757 East Point Street.
- Morrow, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.: The Morrow Police Department will have bounce houses, free food, food trucks, games, and canvas painting at The District/Olde Town Morrow next to Southlake Mall, 1065 Olde Town Morrow Road.
- Jonesboro, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.: The Jonesboro Police Department celebrates National Night out with games, music, free food, face painting, and more! Come to Lee Street Park, 73 Lee Street, in downtown Jonesboro.
