Kinship Care Yard Sale
Find a treasure and support grandparents raising grandchildren at the Kinship Care Resource Center Advisory Board’s Yard Sale on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 849 Battle Creek Road, Jonesboro. Enjoy free school supplies, a back to school bash, and BBQ dinner sales (Cashapp accepted).
3rd Annual Healthy South Fulton Family Fun and Sports Day
Come to Sandtown Park, 5320 Campbellton Rd. SW, Atlanta, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for some family fun and 700 free bookbags filled with supplies (first come, first serve). The event features a wellness village, on-site sports physicals, sports registration, the Wolf Creek Library, food trucks, merchants, karate training, afterschool tutoring, private baseball training, face painting, and other fun and educational activities.
Forest Park Back to School Supply Drive
The City of Forest Park and Gateway Restoration Church host a Back to School Supply Drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 4981 Phillips Drive in Forest Park (just off Forest Parkway). School supplies are first come, first serve while they last. Enjoy food trucks, a bounce house, and a live DJ. Sponsors include Ghatti Do, Answer The Bell, Forest Park Ministers Association, and Slice of Joy BBQ and Catering.
The Kingdom at Flint River Black Box Community Theatre

Councilwoman Latresa Akins-Wells holds a Back to School Hair Cuts and Family Movie Night from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Starr Park Amphitheater, 5-31 Park Ave. Bounce houses, board games, and train rides will be part of the fun.
