Kick off your Juneteenth weekend with Dîner en Dashikis tonight, Friday, June 17. The celebration starts at 5:30 p.m. with painting dancers of Camouflauge III and features art by Sachi Rome and Tokie Taylor at Arts Clayton, followed by a performance at 7 p.m.

On the Jonesboro City Green, 108 Broad Street Plaza, bring your own food and cash for the bar. The cost to reserve a table seating eight people is $300, and you can take part in a table-decorating contest. Singer Myrna Clayton, billed as “a Creative Cultural Arts Ambassador, Alabama-born and Atlanta-raised,” will perform at 8 p.m.
