Clayton County Public School budget hearings start today, Monday, May 16 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. School taxes make up the largest part of property taxes in Clayton County and provide public education for grades K-12.

If you can’t make today’s hearings, you will have one more opportunities to make your concerns known to the Board of Education on Monday, May 23 at 6 p.m.

All hearings take place in the Administration Complex Boardroom, 1058 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro.

The School Board is scheduled to vote on the final budget for fiscal year 2023 on June 6 at 6 p.m.
