The NAACP Clayton County Branch held a press conference in front of the Harold Banke Justice Center on April 18, after Superior Court Judge Shana Rooks Malone announced a November 14 trial date in the Hannah Payne case. Payne is charged with malice murder in the shooting death of Kenneth Herring in 2019. Payne told Clayton County 911 that Herring shot himself with her pistol. Clayton NAACP President C.
