With less than 24 hours to go before Friday’s noon deadline, here are the candidates who have qualified to run for office in Clayton County in the upcoming May 24, 2022 general primary and nonpartisan election.
Voters in Commission Districts 1 and 4, as well as in School Board Districts 1, 4, 8, and 9 will choose those officeholders. Ten Democrats have qualified across six races. No Republicans have qualified thus far.
Voters countywide can cast ballots in the State Court elections. All candidates for judgeships run on a nonpartisan basis. So far, all three State Court judges are running unopposed.
This information is public and comes from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office and the Clayton County Elections and Registration office. All information was correct as of 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022.
