The East Point Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a teenage girl whose body was dumped behind a house on Ben Hill Road.

Police found the girl’s body Saturday while responding to a “person down” call. She was wearing a gold necklace with the number “2005” and an anklet that read “Wixked,” according to Chief Shawn Buchanan.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation did an autopsy and determined the girl had been beaten to death. The GBI issued a sketch in hopes she could be identified.

Anyone with information that could lead to the girl’s identity, or who might have information about the case, is urged to call East Point Police at (404) 761-2177 or police@eastpointcity.org. You also can call CrimeStoppers at (404) 577-8477 to leave an anonymous tip.
