President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at Clark Atlanta University Jan. 11, calling on the new generation of AUC students to take up the baton for voting rights. Among those present on CAU’s “sacred ground” were U.S. Senators Rev. Raphael Warnock and Sen. Jon Ossoff, U.S. Rep. Nikema Williams and her son Carter, U.S. Rep. Carolyn Bordeaux, State Rep. Al Sharpton, National Urban League President and former New Orleans mayor Marc Morial, State Sen. Jen Jordan, NAACP First Vice President Gerald Griggs, and others.
