The Clayton County Legislative Delegation is holding a Legislative Forum today, Thursday, December 9, at the Harry S. Downs Center on the campus of Clayton State University. The forum starts at 11:30 a.m.
Participants will have the chance to ask your state representatives and senators about issues happening at the Gold Dome and the impact these have on your lives.
One topic sure to come up is the effect of SB 202, the new voting law, which has narrowed the turnaround time for absentee voting and which requires voters who use absentee ballot drop boxes to do so only when the regular polling places are open.
Legislators include Sen. Gail Davenport (D-44), Sen. Valencia Seay (D-34), Rep. Debra Bazemore (D-63), Rep. Rhonda Burnough (D-77), Rep. Demetrius Douglas (D-78), Rep. Mike Glanton (D-75), Rep, Yasmin Neal (D-74), Rep. Kim Schofield (D-60), and Rep. Sandra Scott (D-76).
