On Saturday, October 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., tenants and landlords can get help–in person–to apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance program. The program is for Clayton County residents who have had trouble paying rent or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clayton County’s Office of Performance Management, Magistrate Court, Library Services, and Senior Services will help both tenants and landlords fill out applications for rental assistance. Georgia Power will help people with utility assistance.

Either the tenant ot the landlord can start the application process.

Clayton County residents must register in advance if they want to get help at the October 23 event.

You can register online at relief.claytoncountyga.gov/appointments/, or call 770-347-0212 for more information.

The October 23 event will take place at four locations:

  • Flint River Community Center, 153 Flint River Road, Riverdale, GA 30274

  • Riverdale Branch Library, 420 Valley Hill Rd, Riverdale, GA 30274
  • Headquarters Library, 865 Battle Creek Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30236

Help with the application process is available from October 22 through November 22. For those who need help filling out the application itself, visit any senior center or library branch and someone will walk you through the process.
