The Clayton Crescent presents this voters’ guide to the September 2021 special election as a public service to the voters of Clayton County. As a nonprofit newsroom, we do not endorse candidates for political office. Our interest is in presenting voters with relevant information that you can use as you decide who, in your opinion, is best qualified to hold elected office.

Board of Commissioners District 1

Board of Education District 8

Each candidate was sent a link to our Candidate Survey and given ample time to respond (in fact, we extended the deadline well into early voting). Candidate pages will indicate whether or not the person returned the survey.

Candidates were given the opportunity to rank issues of current interest in their district, as well as to answer several open-ended questions about their qualifications for office and what they hope to accomplish.

We hope you find this information useful as you decide how to cast your ballot.
