The Clayton County Board of Education will hold its September 7 meeting virtually–and it’s making an effort to invite the public to participate in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
The announcement comes after the board discussed plans for some kindergarten through 8th grade classes to go virtual as soon as the second nine weeks of class.
To speak, you will need to be one of the fist 10 people to register in advance (before 5:45 p.m. September 7) at https://bit.ly/PublicParticipation9-7-21. After registering, you will get a confirmation e-mail telling you how to join the online meeting. You will have three minutes to comment (no personal attacks or abusive language allowed under CCBOE policy).
You can watch the meeting by going to the District and community stakeholders will be able to connect and follow the meeting by going to www.clayton.k12.ga.us. Look for the Board Meeting graphic on the scrolling banner at the top of the page.
If you can’t watch the livestream, you can see the recording on the district’s website, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube pages. It also will replay on Channel 24 for Clayton County Comcast subscribers.
If you have trouble accessing the livestream, check to see if:
- Your device’s operating system is up to date (this includes phones and tablets)
- Use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari as your browser
- Update your browser version and hit the refresh button
