M.D. Roberts Middle School “pivots” to virtual learning August 26, according to a press releases issued by CCPS, bringing to 9 the total number of schools doing virtual learning due to “increased” COVID-19.

The other schools are:

Clayton County Public Schools says eight area schools will pivot to a virtual learning environment from Thursday, August 26 through Thursday, September 9 due to the spread of COVID-19:

  • Kemp Primary
  • Kemp Elementary
  • River’s Edge Elementary
  • Michelle Obama STEM Elementary Academy
  • Hawthorne Elementary
  • Eddie White Middle Academy
  • Lovejoy High School
  • Elite Scholars Academy


During this time, parents and guardians should contact their school for information about how and when breakfast and lunch will be handled.

Student will go back to campus Friday, September 10.
