Forest Park’s Nov. 2 election campaign is underway, with two last-minute challengers in Ward 2.

As of the end of candidate qualifying August 19, the slate includes:

  • Mayor Angelyne Butler facing Delores A. Gunn and former councilman Tommy Smith
  • Ward 1 Councilwoman Kimberly James facing Development Authority board member Trudy Smith and political newcomer Deonetra Riggins
  • Ward 2 Councilman Dabouze Antoine facing Technique Concrete owner Billy Freeman, Jr. and community activist and teacher Cliff Pellegrine.

The Clayton Crescent will send all qualified candidates a candidate questionnaire. As a nonprofit newsroom, The Clayton Crescent does not make candidate endorsements.
