The Clayton Crescent Board of Trust is proud to announce that community activist Charlton Bivins has joined the board.

Bivins, who served on the Clayton County Board of Education during the school system’s reaccreditation process, is a retired law enforcement official who specializes in helping ex-offenders expunge their criminal records. He also is the founder of C4-Clayton County Cycling Club, which welcomes all riders of all levels and recently added a youth program.
Bivins joins board members Richard T. Griffiths, Tammy Joyner, Linda Crissey, and executive editor/CEO Robin Kemp.
“I look forward to working with Charlton,” Joyner said. “He is a well-respected and trusted Clayton County resident who has served in numerous capacities and on community boards. He has his finger on the pulse of Clayton County. He is a welcomed asset to Clayton Crescent’s Board of Directors.”
Richard T. Griffiths, board chair, added, “Charlton’s energy and knowledge of Clayton County will be invaluable as we build long term support to sustain the Clayton Crescent.”
Executive Editor and CEO Robin Kemp said, “Charlton has been on my wish list for some time and I’m beyond thrilled that he has agreed to join the board. He brings good energy and plenty of smarts to the table. We’re very happy to have him!”
Bivins has served on the boards of several community organizations in Clayton County and was active with our fellow board member, Linda Crissey, at Arts Clayton. He is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership Clayton.
