Looking for a job? Clayton County Public Schools are hiring school bus drivers and monitors before classes start on August 2.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, hold a GED or high school diploma, and be authorized to work in the United States.

Starting hourly pay is:

You are guaranteed at least six hours per day. You can pick up extra hours driving students to games, field trips, and other events.

Bonus pay

In addition, you could earn up to $2,000 in bonuses for perfect attendance on these dates:

  • July 28, 2021-Sept. 30, 2021 ($500; $250 for morning-only or afternoon-only drivers)
  • Oct. 21, 2021-Dec. 9, 2021
  • ($500; $250 for morning-only or afternoon-only drivers)
  • Dec. 10, 2021-Feb. 28, 2022
  • ($500; $250 for morning-only or afternoon-only drivers)
  • March 1, 2022-May 24, 2022
  • ($500; $250 for morning-only or afternoon-only drivers)

To earn the bonuses, you also will need to respond to and assist with all double-backs in a timely manner, not refuse “any type of work,” and not miss more than one day (with exceptions for jury duty and court subpoenas).
