Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services is battling a fire on Forest Parkway that sent up a billowing column of black smoke visible from several miles away on I-285.
CCFES said the address is 1911 Forest Parkway, which appears to be a scrap metal business. Additional information is forthcoming soon.
The company at that address is Topmetal Buy, registered to Tuan Van Nguyen.
Clayton State University Police and other agencies have shut down Forest Parkway in both directions, preventing access to and from the I-675 on-ramps near QuikTrip.
