Sequoyah Middle School in Riverdale is returning to virtual learning as of today, Monday, May 10, due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

As a result, no meals will be served out of Sequoyah Middle for the rest of the school year.

Instead, families who pick up meals from Sequoyah, including families from Harper Elementary, should go to:

for grab-and-go meals today and tomorrow, Tuesday, May 11.

Also starting today, students at Mt. Zion Elementary will finish the year through virtual learning,

Clayton County Public Schools will work with the Clayton County Health District to address the outbreak and is sanitizing classrooms and other parts of Sequoyah Middle.

All CCPS parents are being asked to fill out a Virtual Learning Application for next school year. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 16. Next year, virtual learning will be different than it was this year, although those differences are not specified; check with your child’s counselor.
