The Little Lions Produce Stand in Forest Park celebrated its grand reopening April 21. The stand takes the lessons the kids at Little Ones Learning Center learn in the Jazmine Green Memorial Garden and shares them with adults who shop there. By supporting local farmers who grow organic produce through its partnership with Wholesome Wave, the stand gives community residents access to healthier food options. By offering 2-for-1 on EBT (food stamp) cards, the stand also makes higher-quality food available to people living on a tight budget. Little Lions is at 993 Forest Avenue and is open the first and third Wednesday of each month. Produce selections vary according to season.
