The City of Forest Park’s Urban Redevelopment Association is looking for a public relations contractor as it prepares to issue bonds for several capital improvement projects. No public notices appear to have been published and no request for proposals appears on the city’s RFP page.

According to the agenda packet for the URA’s Friday, April 9 meeting, a “Scope of Work for Promotion of Forest Park, Georgia” was “delivered to seven companies for response.” Three companies were not identified. Four companies responded:

  • South Atlanta Magazine (270 hours at $125/hour totaling $33,750 plus $65,000-$175,000 in media advertising)
  • Phoenix Media Services ($198,000 for 36 months at $5,500/month)
  • Leff and Associates ($110,000 for 12 months at $8,000/month “plus other”)
  • The Collaborative Firm ($87,250 plus $5,000 for signs/art, totaling $92,250)

The city is looking to promote “five areas of economic development and growth in Forest Park,” including new jobs and employers, Main Street revitalization efforts, sale of historic property at Fort Gillem, the new “City Center facility,” and Starr Park renovations.
