We apologize for the brief interruption today due to poor wireless connections! We’re at the Clayton County Board of Commissioners meeting and listening to the Forest Park City Council meeting via livestream.
Here’s a look at tonight’s BOC agenda packet:
And here’s the link to the BOC’s livestream video: http://claytoncountyga.iqm2.com/Citizens/SplitView.aspx?DVR&Mode=Video&MeetingID=1285
Also, here’s Forest Park’s City Council livestream/video (except that the city has blocked other sites, like news organizations, from bringing you this public document directly–so the YouTube link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCfYry0iuMM )

We told you earlier this week about solar panels and speed bumps for Forest Park–here is Forest Park’s agenda for tonight: https://www.forestparkga.gov/sites/default/files/fileattachments/city_council/meeting/10751/01.19.2021_agenda_city_of_forest_mayor_and_council_meeting.pdf
Be aware that Forest Park has several other meetings coming up soon:
- The Forest Park Development Authority has a very basic outline of an agenda for a special called meeting on Wednesday, January 19 at 5:30 p.m. On the agenda are public comment, a real estate sales resolution (not attached to the agenda), and an executive session.
- The authority also has a big item on tonight’s Board of Commissioners agenda: getting the county’s approval to front the cost of Ocado Solutions machinery at Gillem Logistics Center, lease back the machinery through 2040, and give Ocado a break on ad valorem taxes during that time. In exchange, Ocado would agree to a target of 45 jobs per year from 2022 through 2040, and an investment factor of $95,000,000 by 2038. (Listen to the video explanation at the top of this story for details.) Here’s a short link to the Zoom meeting: https://bit.ly/2M6VbGK (webinar ID is 85987255566 and passcode is 763118). The call-in number is (312) 626-6799.
Thank you for your patience!
