Today is Friday, January 8, 2021, and if you had to vote a provisional ballot in the Senate and PSC runoff election on Tuesday, you have until 5 p.m. to make your vote count.
The process is called “curing” your ballot and it’s simple:
- Go to the Elections and Registration Office in the Historic Courthouse in Jonesboro. The entrance is in the rear of the building.
- Go up the stairs or ramp to the window, where a clerk will assist you.
- Show your state-approved identification and present your signed affidavit.
- That’s it!
The Georgia Democratic Party also offers a way for voters to submit an affidavit online at https://www.georgiademocrat.org/ballot-cure/.
The Georgia GOP does not appear to offer a ballot cure link on its website.
To check the status of your absentee or provisional ballot, log into the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page at https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do.
