The Clayton County Board of Elections and Registration has recertified the results of the Presidential election recount. The winner is Joe Biden.
The Board convened at 3:02 p.m. and no public comments were submitted. The agenda was sent out to board members earlier Thursday.
A 32-vote difference included 9 undervotes, 10 overvotes, and 13 unresolved, but the percentages did not change, according to Elections Director Shauna Dozier. That difference required a recertification by the board.
Dozier also commended the Elections and Registration staff for giving up their Friday holiday on Thanksgiving weekend to do the recount. Dozier pointed out that that Friday is an official holiday.
Pat Pullar moved and Darlene Johnson seconded the motion to recertify the Nov., 3, 2020 election November 24-29, 2020 recount. The motion passed unanimously.
Chair Carol Wesley also thanked board members for serving, sometimes twice, on vote review panels during the recount.
