The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says all four suspects in the October 24 shooting of a Clayton State University student in Laker Hall are now in custody in the Troup County Jail.
Zydarius Arkady Brewer, 18; Braylen Tremaine Staples, 19; Ra’him Sykes, 18; and, Terrance Woods, 18, all of LaGrange, were sought in the shooting that left the student in critical condition. None of the suspects are Clayton State students and were in Laker Hall “without the knowledge or consent of the university.”
Other students and Clayton State University Police rendered aid to the victim. The GBI says the shooting is not thought to have been random.
All four suspects face felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery.
It is the editorial policy of The Clayton Crescent not to publish mugshots unless there is an immediate threat, such as a manhunt. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
