The Clayton County Police Department unveiled its new Mobile Command Unit during the “Faith and Blue” food distribution Oct. 10. The unit contains work stations, police radios, a small kitchenette, restroom with shower, and whiteboards so command staff can plan and manage major incidents on scene.
Clayton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jeff Turner, District 4 Commissioner DeMont Davis, Chief Operating Officer Detrick Stanford, and Police Chief Kevin Roberts, along with command staff, cut the ribbon. Roberts told the crowd the unit belongs to them.
