If you’re trying to pay your water bill between Aug. 28 and Aug. 31, you may get a surprise.

The Clayton County Water Authority has taken its payment system offline until 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1. That’s when it promises a new system that will let customers do things like update their account information.

In-person customer service locations also will be closed during this time while CCWA updates its system.

A notice on CCWA’s website about its customer service update.

You can reach CCWA by phone at (770) 960-5200 with any questions.

An operator said that anyone who is scheduled to have their water cut off will not lose service during this time.
