Note: This podcast reflects the opinions and expertise of the guest. The Clayton Crescent does not advocate the use or non-use of firearms, which is a highly personal decision that should not be taken lightly. Do not take anything in this podcast as legal advice. While some basic safety tips are presented, no podcast can take the place of in-person safety instruction and listeners should not treat this podcast as a substitute for in-person training. Although Georgia law does not require gun owners to pass any safety or proficiency tests, consider seeking out a reputable firearms trainer who is certified by an established firearms safety group. Ask your local firearms dealer or certified firearms instructor about the best way to carry and secure your weapons and ammunition out of the reach of children, thieves, and other unauthorized persons. You expressly agree that you, the reader/listener, and not The Clayton Crescent or its staff, guests, and supporters are solely liable for your actions and decisions in regard to the content of this podcast.

The 4 Rules of Gun Safety

  1. Treat every gun as if it is loaded.
  2. Don’t point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
  3. Know your target and what is beyond it.
  4. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have made a conscious decision to shoot.
