Jonesboro Police and the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department are looking for Jasmine Monica Kirk, 36, who they suspect shot another woman dead in a Waffle House parking lot on Tara Boulevard early Friday morning.
Pending charges include murder, possession fo a firearm during commission of a crime, and firearms discharge near a highway, according to court records.
The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office issued a mugshot of Kirk and placed her atop the Most Wanted List.

Jonesboro Police and CCSO deputies responded around 4 a.m. to the Waffle House at 8765 Tara Blvd. There, they found “a black female slumped over in the passenger seat” with “apparent gunshot wounds to the upper torso.” Officers tried to give her first aid but, according to CCSO, the woman was already dead.
Witnesses told police the woman had been sitting in her car, waiting for a takeout order, when allegedly Kirk walked up and shot her through the passenger-side window, then fled in a white compact Buick Regal or Verano.

Kirk is described as an African-American woman, 5 feet 1 inch tall and 130 pounds, possibly with dreadlocks or wearing a headscarf. Security photos show the suspect wearing what appears to be a kente-patterned headscarf tied up to the right and possibly a denim shirt or jacket over a dark blue t-shirt or dress.
Anyone who knows Kirk’s whereabouts is urged to call Jonesboro Police Detective R. Tolbert at (770) 478-7407.
