Clayton County government offices will reopen to the public on May 13, with county employees returning to their offices on May 11.

Chairman Jeff Turner said, “We care about all of our employees and citizens and share their concern about the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, as we plan to return to work on Monday, May 11, know that we are committed to taking the necessary precautions to clean our facilities, offices, and equipment.”

Turner said the county will provide “appropriate personal protective equipment to employees and are making physical changes to the county’s public areas” and will continue to educate the public about social distancing “and other guidelines set by the Governor’s Executive Orders, the Centers for Disease Control (and Prevention) and the Georgia Department of Public Health to help protect our employees and the citizens we serve.”
